Challenge:

ORCA Industriemontagen GmbH & Co. KG was founded in February 2016. Since then, the owner-managed company has been offering under the motto "Safe. Strong. Fast" worldwide all-round services in the field of industrial assembly and relocations with high technical competence.

From planning and transport to final installation, the ORCA team supports the entire industrial sector with a focus on food and pharmaceuticals in the assembly of machine systems. In addition to new installations, relocations of used systems are also part of the repertoire.

The security of the internationally distributed construction sites as well as all transports and containers at the locations should be ensured by a single locking system solution. The challenge was therefore to offer the highest possible flexibility and convenient handling, which a mobile service company like ORCA requires – both independent of time and place.

Because the employees are only working for a limited time in the most diverse places around the world and need expensive special tools and equipment to carry out their work, which must be relocated from A to B just as safely.

Solution:

An electronic locking system with cloud-based administration was the solution. The customer opted for an eCLIQ locking system of the IKON brand with the digital extension CLIQ® Connect. The combination of wireless cylinders, an electronic key with battery, cloud-based administration with self-explanatory software and the updating of access authorizations via app and smartphone is ideally suited to the extraordinary requirements of ORCA. The employees are each given a single electronic eCLIQ key, which is then programmed individually and, if necessary, with time-limited access authorizations. If the team in Germany has released access authorization via software to the corresponding cylinder in the cloud, the authorization is transferred in the app via Bluetooth to the respective key. As soon as the release has been transferred, the locking system can be operated with the electronic key The installation of the locking system is at least as convenient and easy. Only a screwdriver is required to attach the cordless cylinders.

eCLIQ also convinced ORCA with its diverse cylinder designs. In addition to door locks, the system is also suitable, for example, in the form of the particularly weather-resistant and break-proof eCLIQ slope locks on the company's containers.
